There ha been a bug recently where the lights can enter theft mode un-necessarily. If this happens, you should turn off theft alerts (if enabled), forget the light in-app and then re-connect. You can also reset the light in the IOS app by pressing and holding on the 'Forget my light' option. Or if you have Android, you can reset by fully charging the light.
